Dhikala is the most popular after sought tourist destination in Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. In this forest resort, one can find the herd of elephants spotted deer packs and that too in the vast lands of famous Dhikala Chaur.
It is the best place in the Tiger Reserve to spot endangered species like Hog Deer. This resort is located within 31 km of Dhangari Gate. Dhikala tourist complex overlooks Ramganga Reservoir and is the perfect place to observe Crocodiles and Gharials that bask in the banks of Ramganga.

It is a resort that offers best-in-class accommodation facilities, which include a forest rest house, hutment, and annexe Dhikala that consist of 24 bunk beds in log huts. Almost all of its rooms carry world-class amenities.
It is a forest lodge that consists of 02 dormitories, and there are 12 beds in each dormitory.
All the bathrooms in the dormitories are shared. It is situated in the core area of Corbett National Park. It consists of two canteens within the premises of the lodge.

Know the Exact Way and Time to Reach Dhikala

You can reach Dhikala through Dhangarhi gate, which is just 18 km from Ramnagar. 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM is the entry and exit point of the Dhikala range.

Dhikala ecotourism zone is the most picturesque landscape in the Jim Corbett National Park. It is a vibrant wildlife resort and is the most sought after tourism zone in the Corbett tiger reserve.

Dhikala zone is the largest among the five zones of the Corbett Tiger Reserve carries the most beautiful landscape consisting of dense Sal forest, extensive grassland, narrow valley, and numerous channels of the Ramganga river.

The Ramganga River is the Corbett forest's lifeline that enriches the wild's rustic beauty and helps nourish Corbett's flora and fauna.

Royal Bengal Tiger and Asiatic elephants are two endangered animals that are found over here. This zone is highly populated with big animals and is the favourite place for tourists. Dhikala Zone is the most extensive grassland in the Corbett Reserve landscape.

Besides tigers and elephants, this zone is the home to many varied wild faunas that consists of leopards, spotted deer, sambhar deer, hog deer, wild boars, and reptiles.

Canter Safari

It is considered the best option for people residing outside the Dhikala Zone and who wishes to sight the area's wildlife.

It is a 16 seater open-air bus that runs from Ramnagar to Dhikala and then goes back to Ramnagar. Thus, to avail of a canter safari, one needs to make a prior booking

Grass Lands

Dhikala is also the vast grassland is the home to elephants, spotted deers, white tiger and much more. In the extensive pastures of plains, visitors do often spot a wild tiger and much more.

Watch Tower

Watch Tower is located at Dhikala, and it offers an excellent view of wildlife to every visitor. It is located at a 10 minutes’ walk from Dhikala forest rest house.

Apart from 32 rooms, Dhikala forest lodge also has 02 dormitories, with 12 beds in each dormitory. Bathrooms in the dormitories are common. All 32 rooms at Dhikala forest lodge has attached bathrooms & running hot (solar) & cold water. The Campus of Dhikala Forest Rest House is located in the core area of Corbett National Park.

The food in Dhikala forest lodge is not a problem as there are two canteens within the premises of lodge. One of them is run by Kumaon mandal vikas nigam which is run by the tourism department of uttarakhand and offers buffet meals. Other is a private canteen which offers food in alacarte menu.
